How does Mousetrapper Advance work? 

Position Mousetrapper Advance between you and your keyboard with the friction mat folded or unfolded depending on the height of your keyboard.

Connect the cable/lead to the USB port on your computer and your Mousetrapper Advance is ready to be used.

An optimal working position is achieved with your arms centred in front of your body. It is also important to hold your arms close to your body to avoid overstraining.

By manoeuvring the steering pad with your fingers, the mouse cursor moves without having to lift your hands. You can easily vary your working position by manoeuvring the steering pad with either your left or right hand and by alternating fingers. It is also possible to use a standard mouse alongside the Mousetrapper Advance for an optimal working position. Variation is the keyword when trying to avoid the syndromes of a "mouse arm" and other repetitive stress injuries.


Buttons and steering pad functions 

Mousetrapper Advance comes with standard button and steering pad functions. These standard functions can be changed or replaced by installing the MT Keys software (see below).

The following button and steering pad functions are standard with Mousetrapper Advance.

Upper left button: Double click
Upper right button: Right click
Lower left button: Left click
Lower right button: Right click
Oval button: Auto scroll/third mouse button

Steering pad Left click: Position your finger anywhere on the steering pad and press lightly until you hear a click.

Steering pad Double click: Position your finger anywhere on the steering pad and press lightly twice to double click. Do not take your finger off the steering pad between clicks.

Steering pad Scroll: Position your finger to the right on the steering pad and scroll up/down. Once the scrolling function is activated, the steering pad can be scrolled up/down without having to keep your finger to the right on the steering pad. This enables an effective scrolling through large documents by alternating between fingers when moving the steering pad. The scroll function is deactivated when the steering pad stops.

Steering pad Web page back: Position your finger to the right on the steering pad, scroll down at least one centimetre and click. Keep clicking to continue scrolling back through the web pages.

Steering pad Web page forward: Position your finger to the right on the steering pad, scroll down at least one centimetre and click. Keep clicking to continue scrolling forward through the web pages.

Steering pad End position sensor: When the steering pad has reached its end position, i.e. when the steering pad has run out and the cursor is still in the middle of the screen, the cursor will move to the side of the screen. This is particularly relevant if the cursor speed is set to slow.

Changing and replacing button and steering pad functions The button and steering pad functions are easy to reprogram using the software MT keys.exe. 


Download the software to your computer and use when you wish to change a function or profile. A profile represents a saved set of functions.

Steering pad not to be confused with touch pad
The easily manoeuvred steering pad is scrollable in all directions and reacts instantly to touch without any delay or reaction time. Mousetrapper Advance steering pad is unique in its kind with a steering pad that scrolls up/down and sideways. The superior sensitivity and functionality of Mousetrapper Advance steering pad should not be confused with other steering pads or touch pads.


The silicon coated strings on the steering pad facilitate finger touch control. The unique technology offered by the two-dimensional touch scroll pad is now a standard Mousetrapper feature. Clicking is possible anywhere on the steering pad.

Height
The height of Mousetrapper Advance can be adjusted with the foldable friction mat. The following heights are specified with the friction mat folded or unfolded.

Height front: 15 mm (friction mat folded)
Height back: 24 mm (friction mat folded)
Height front: 14 mm (friction mat unfolded)
Height back: 20 mm (friction mat unfolded)

Warranty
This product comes with a warranty period of 2 years. In the event of any problems or questions, please contact your nearest retailer. 

Installation
Mousetrapper Advance comes with product specific installation instructions.

Deinstallation
The MTKeys software is deinstalled with the control panel function ‘Add or remove software’. Select Start Menu, find control panel and select add or remove software. Find the MTKeys software and run the deinstallation routine.
